Bookviser 2.3 submitted to Marketplace

Hey,

Just posted an update to Marketplace. The version 2.3 contains the following changes:

- screen orientation control additionally placed in settings menu;
- fixed problems with large EPUBs and EPUB contents;
- added page numbers.

It should be available within 3-4 days.

  1. И такое решение - со страницами и процентным указателем - идеальное решение!

  2. Hi Alex! Does bookviser run on windows phone 8? Don't want to trade in my wp7 without checking with you :)

    1. Hi Jeff,

      Yes it does run on WP8. Anyway there will be a special WP8 version supporting new features soon.

  3. Do you guys have plans to add text to speech support? None of the e-reader apps on WP8 has this at the moment. It'll be a handy feature, in case you do decide to add it :)

    1. Hi Beth,

      Honestly I have not yet checked this possibility on WP platform. But I will do it for sure.

    2. I think it is possible. I breezed through the SDK doc a few days ago and found a whole page there dedicated to using the speech synthesizer.

      The built-in text-to-speech engine on WP8 is awesome. Imagine how cool it'll be if the books get to "talk" with those voices :D

      Thanks for the quick response, by the way, and thanks for the awesome app :)

  4. Large ePubs still don't work for me. Impossible for me to get a 100MB book onto your BookVisor site. With all the crap ePub readers on the marketplace I'm about ready to outsource this to some programmers and just give it away to help everyone out.

    1. Sorry, I can't make large epubs a priority. There are still many things to fix and improve. I'm alone on the project that is a freeware.
